About Me
I'm a software engineer from Germany focused on building tools, open-source software, and AI applications.
About Me
I’m Fahid Nasir, a software engineer from Germany. I build tools, open-source software, and AI applications. My work spans web development, mobile apps, backend infrastructure, and machine learning.
🛠️ What I Do
I focus on solving real problems through code. Rather than chase the latest trends, I prefer building tools that save developers time and creating systems that scale. I’m particularly interested in making AI accessible through open-source infrastructure.
📚 My Journey
I started coding in 2012 and have worked across aviation, fintech, and healthcare industries. Along the way, I’ve learned that well-designed systems compound in value—they become more useful over time as more people use them.
Open-source development has been central to my work. Publishing code publicly taught me more about software design than years of closed-door development. The feedback from real users shapes better decisions than internal speculation.
🎯 Core Interests
AI and Machine Learning: Fine-tuning models, RAG systems, and making advanced AI accessible without cloud dependency.
Developer Tools: Building CLIs, platforms, and frameworks that improve developer experience (DX). I built tree2f, an NPM package that converts ASCII trees into file systems.
Open Source: Contributing to shared codebases, maintaining projects, and learning from others’ code. Every tool I use teaches me something.
Backend Infrastructure: Databases, APIs, and deployment systems that work reliably at scale. I’ve worked with PostgreSQL, Supabase, and various deployment platforms.
Web and Mobile: Full-stack development with React, React Native, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like Astro and Next.js.
📖 What I Share
This blog covers technical deep-dives, project case studies, and practical guides. Posts tend to be long and detailed because I believe in showing work—not just conclusions.
You’ll find:
- Technical write-ups on AI, backend infrastructure, and web development
- Project case studies (what worked, what didn’t)
- Comparisons and reviews of tools and platforms
- Cheatsheets and quick references
- Open-source learnings and best practices
